Description of Property: Farm - 18th Century Whitewash Farmhouse with a redbrick wing built in the early 19th Century. Complete refurbishment required to turn property into a liveable home and business. Nobody knows exact date the farm was built. It does have some interesting features which point to an earlier period. Re-instatement to former glory using traditional methods. Existing walls have several different types of materials including cob (one of the earliest building materials), brick infill and stud partitioning. Original door with daisy wheel carvings (older than the house; could have been taken from an old building). Part of house could be medieval. First record of property 1766 but could go back to 1600's. May have been a medieval settlement in area. Building in a poor structural state.

First step of renovation: G.F. = Drawing Room & Guest Sitting Room. Both rooms will imported breast mow (check spelling) beams (each about a tonne in weight) and spacious Inglenooks. Oak beams to provide structural support.

Upper Floor = Guest Bedroom with en-suite bathroom & Bedroom. Dividing partition with timber frame (with tree branch noggins) and cob infill.

Problems: Bad weather (frost) opened up huge cracks in the walls. Wall will need to be removed.
